Jonny Lee Miller has revealed some big career news as he shared that he has qualified as a volunteer firefighter in New York.
The actor, 50, took to Instagram on Monday to announce that he has completed a five-month course at Suffolk County Fire Academy.
He told his 230,000 followers how he is now qualified at the Firefighter 1 level, which is the basic level of training to pursue a career as a volunteer firefighter.
The Trainspotting star shared a massive group shot of himself among his fellow newly-qualified firefighters to confirm his exciting career news.
Alongside the snap, he wrote: ‘Today I qualified as a Firefighter 1 after a five month course at Suffolk County Fire Academy.

Jonny had previously shared snaps of his firefighter uniform as he documented his five months of training.
In January, he shared a picture of his uniform all sprawled out across the floor as he confirmed the start of his journey.
Alongside the snap, he penned: ‘School tomorrow! #50yearoldvirgin.’
Jonny has completed the Firefighter 1 level of training, which is the first of two levels of firefighter training, according to Chron.
It is the first basic level of training – involving a written exam, a physical fitness test and a medical exam – which allows a person to work as a volunteer firefighter.
The training covers rescue and extraction, knot tying, fire control and detection and use of personal equipment, among other skills.

It includes both classroom teaching and hands-on practice and gives a person the basic skills to pursue a career as a firefighter.
The Firefighter 2 certification offers additional training in protecting evidence and advanced rescue, fire control and communication techniques.
His huge career news comes just months after Jonny celebrated his 50th birthday late last year.
The star – who recently gained heartthrob status playing former Prime Minister John Major in The Crown – marked the occasion in November with an Instagram post.
He shared a throwback snap of his younger self alongside the caption: ‘Today I am 50. Here is a photo my brother sent me of me not 50.’
